#302/365, Traveling to buy train tickets, เดินทางไปซื้อตั๋วรถไฟ, the OPED project.

Today a strange kind of energy was causing my enthusiasm to turn into sleepiness. So, I had to push myself to make a move.

The need to book my train tickets gave me the push to travel to the railway station. Being a Sunday, the roads became spacious and most drivers were speeding their cars for a change. I took the local bus so that I could enjoy the roadside views and take some photos. Most shops were closed, except for those shops near big hotels.

My bus was not air-conditioned which was suitable for taking photos as the windows were opened. This bus would pass the area where there are lots of jewelry shops in New road, this area is where traders come to buy and order wholesale silver jewelries. Office buildings around here belong to the old and rich Chinese families whose ancestors emigrated here almost two hundred years ago.

I was very surprised to see so many people at the railway station. People were still trying to get home for their long holiday. There’s an improvement there, there were hundreds of seats in the area where people used to sit on the floor. A company had their staff giving ice-cool tea to promote their new product! I also got one can; it was quite good and not at all that sweet! Lots of families were traveling this long weekend.

I always like to travel on buses along New Road as this was my old school’s area. The two storey rows of buildings have been preserved and listed as they were built during King Rama V, over a hundred years ago. The old catholic school had new tall buildings with air conditioning system. I couldn’t believe how we used to study in classrooms without without any fans or air-conditioning. All the windows were wide open while the breezes continued to blow in from the river. Things have changed a lot over the years.

This bus trip always throws me back into contemplation over my life, destiny and how much I had let myself down. I think I am at least three years behind my original plan. I am just like these old buildings trying to stay strong and keep up with new changes with some kind of lofty meaningfulness and fulfillment.

There’s no use to cry over spilt milk! Let’s live in the present and start to do what my heart tells me to do today! Just be simple, get up and get on with it, no matter how big or how small the task would be. The sun is shining bright with lots of energy for today.

วันอาทิตย์เป็นวันที่ต้องไปซื้อตั๋วรถไฟล่วงหน้า เราตัดสินใจเดินทางโดยรถเมล์ร้อน เพื่อจะได้ดูความเปลี่ยนแปลงและวิวข้างทาง และได้ถ่ายรูปด้วย รถเมล์วิ่งผ่านถนนเจริญกรุงซึ่งเป็นย่านขายเครื่องเงิน และหินคริสตัลทั้งขายปลีกและขายส่ง เนื่องจากเป็นวันหยุดยาว ร้านส่วนใหญ่ปิดยาว ถนนก็โล่งทำให้รถวิ่งกันเร็วมาก เราต้องลงรถและเดินไปอีกสิบนาทีจึงจะถึงหัวลำโพง

เราแปลกใจว่ามีคนยังไม่สามารถหาตั๋วเดินทางกลับบ้านมากทีเดียว ส่วนใหญ่เป็นการเดินทางทั้งครอบครัว มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ดีขึ้นที่สถานี คือมีเก้าอี้เป็นแถวยาวให้คนนั่งแล้ว แต่ก่อนคนต้องนั่งกับพื้นกัน นี่แสดงว่าเก้าอี้พึ่งมาถึง อากาศร้อนมากเหมือนฝนอยากจะตก โชคดีมีพนักงานบริษัทขายชากระป๋อง มาแจกชากระป๋องแช่เย็น ผู้คนพากันไปรับของฟรีตลอด เราลองชิมดูชานี้ใช้ได้ เพราะเหมือนชาไทยโบราณและไม่หวานเลย เราได้ตั๋วแล้วก็นั่งรถเมล์กลับเหมือนเดิม เดินไปก็หามุมถ่ายรูปไป โชคดีที่ฝนไม่ตก

เราชอบเดินทางด้วยรถเมล์ในเส้นทางนี้ ทำให้เห็นสิ่งที่ไม่เปลี่ยนและสิ่งใหม่ๆที่เข้ามาแทนที่ตึกเก่าๆ เราได้หวนระลึกถึงถิ่นเก่าของโรงเรียนที่เราเคยไปประจำ แล้วสะท้อนถึงตนเองในปัจจุบันว่ามีการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างไร เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับสภาพแวดล้อมที่เราเติบโตและเรียนหนังสือมาในอดีต

เราก็เหมือนตึกเก่าๆที่พยายามปรับตัวให้เข้ากับ ความเจริญและสิ่งใหม่ๆเพื่อความอยู่รอดปลอดภัย ทำให้เรารู้ว่าเรากำลังประมาท และไม่ทำตามเป้าหมายที่เคยคิดไว้ ชีวิตมีการถูกทดสอบ และการพลาดพลั้ง ทำให้หลุดจากเป้าหมาย เรารู้ว่าต้องปรับปรุงตนเองอีกหลายด้าน แค่คิดก็เหนื่อย แต่เวลาไม่คอยใคร ฉะนั้นจงอย่าเสียเวลามาบ่นถึงสิ่งที่ผ่านไปแล้ว เอาพลังงานและจิตใจไปทำในสิ่งที่อยากจะทำในวันนี้ เพื่อให้เราเข้าใกล้ความเป็นจริงของเป้าหมายจะดีกว่า อากาศดี มีแดดสดใส นํ้าขึ้นให้รับตัก และตนเป็นที่พึ่งแห่งตน หวังว่าความพยายามอยู่ที่ไหน ความสำเร็จอยู่ที่นั่นตลอดไป
