Today has been very weird in terms of energy, it was a mixture of quiet sadness and hidden hope. Looking at the hazy sky,I could feel the slight breeze of dramatic changes gathering up around the world. What I could do was to remind myself to be mindful and be aware of each moment in life. Italy has begun complete lock down and fights at shopping malls in the West have occurred.

So, life is precious and each minute is so valuable. We have to cherish what we have and enjoy each moment the best we could. I was quite surprised seeing a black cat having a deep comfortable sleep on a shoe. I had to take my shoes off before going into a temple on the out skirt of Bangkok. I went to a relative’s funeral at this temple; I had been trying to find this old relative for years. It saddened me that I had no chance to have friendly chats about the old days with him, This black cat taught me to be content and live each moment fully.

วันสุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา เราต้องไปวัดที่อยู่ไกลมากเพราะอยู่รอบนอกของกรุงเทพฯ เราพึ่งได้ข่าวงานศพของญาติผู้ใหญ่ซึ่งเราไม่ได้เจอมานานมาก และเราพยายามตามหาเพื่อจะได้ไปเยี่ยม ก็ไม่คิดว่าเราจะได้ข่าวนี้แบบกระทันหัน ทำให้เราแทบไม่ได้ตั้งตัว เราก็เศร้าใจที่ไม่มีโอกาสได้ พูดคุยกันถึงวันเก่าๆสมัยเรายังเป็นเด็ก นี่ทำให้เราตระหนักถึงคุณค่าของวันเวลาที่เรามีอยู่ และมีสติมากขึ้นในการใช้ชีวิตด้วย

วันนี้ประเทศอิตาลีประกาศกักกันคนทั้งประเทศ เพราะความรุนแรงของโคโรนาไวรัส เราได้เห็นข่าวคนทะเลาะแย่งกระดาษชำระในห้างในต่างประเทศ ผู้คนทางตะวันตกเริ่มแตกตื่นและกลัวความตายกันอย่างทันทีทันใด เราก็ไม่รู้ว่าในเมืองไทยสถานการณ์ในอนาคตจะเป็นอย่างไร เราจึงพยายามใช้ชีวิตทุกขณะให้ดีที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้

As I moved closer, the gentle black cat woke up to see who had disturbed her sleep. She just looked at me and went back to sleep. Her eyes were so beautiful and she seemed to be able to read my mind. She told me to be simple! “Look at me! The day was hot so I found a nice cool place in the shade and a soft pillow. So, I had a good nap!” “You should do the same!” I thanked her for sharing with me such wonderful and practical wisdom.

แมวบอกเราว่า ใช้ชีวิตอย่างเรียบง่าย ดูอย่างแมวที่ธรรมดาอย่างเราซิ อากาศร้อนมากวันนี้ เราก็เลยหาที่นอนห่างจากแสงแดด และเย็นสบายพร้อมหมอนนุ่มๆสำหรับนอนพักผ่อน ทำไมเราไม่ทำแบบนี้บ้าง เราก็ขอบใจแมวที่เตือนให้เราใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีเหตุผลด้วย แมวเป็นตัวอย่างการใช้ชีวิตให้เราแล้ว
