Hello My Dearest Foodies,
I know, it's maybe too soon for a nice cream or ice cream, however, our boys, just like most of the kids love it all year round. We are having actually little bit mild temperatures last couple of days, unfortunately, it is not going to stay just yet! The freezing cold weather is returning next week again!
Either way, the BLUE FROST NICE CREAM is quite appropriate, because of it's frosty winter look. But now you are probably wondering how did I get that color, because blueberries are blue only when they are whole. Once they are blended in the smoothie, they turn purple. There is really no fruit that I know of that would give a blue color, while make raw cake, icing or smoothie.
Luckily, there is a company called UNICORN SUPERFOODS, who sells many colorful powders derived from natural ingredients. These powders will add not only beautiful color to your creations, but most importantly, they are going to boost your immune system. I find it amazing, especially while trying to make healthy treats for kinds.

BLUE FROST NICE CREAM
Homemade Ice Cream with Super Foods
Vegan Gluten Free

INGREDIENTS
• Frozen Bananas fully ripe 2cups
• Dragon fruit 1 pealed and cut into smaller pieces
• Blue Spirulina 1tsp
• Baobab 1 tbs
• Coconut milk ½ cup
Blend all in a blender and fill your bowl or bowls. Top with berries and coconut flakes or other toppings of your choice.
I know some of you are wondering about Blue Spirulina, so I have all the information available for you here. In the nut shell, it is the blue pigment derived from blue-green algae, rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids and antioxidants. Certainly a very powerful super food. What a handsome stud your grandson is, Lena. I love that you make them such healthy treats too. This icy blue reminds me of a princess Elsa theme party. Although I do not have kids, my friends do and Elsa was apparently all the rage a year or two ago. You nailed it @lenasveganliving. I wish I could get all of those yummies, here, in Costa Rica. I’ve had my eye out for some things but have fallen short. If I see spriulina I’m grabbing it. Oh, and love me some dragon fruit. 😋. This is top notch sista!

It’s a shame but most “supplements” I can’t really get here. They hold them up at customs and then if they release it to you it’s for a cost more expensive than the product. When friends come to visit I’ll be using some of their suitcase storage for sure. Haha

Right now we are in the Central Valley but we move to Tamarindo area tomorrow. That’s on the pacific north coast, Guanacaste province. Sure would be cool to meet you in Costa Rica. Where are you planning to visit?
Edit: I mean, do you know if you’re flying into San Jose or Liberia? Liberia would be closer to where we are living next month, whereas San Jose is right where we are now. We are heading to panama next month. Only for a quick trip but we’ll be staying wayyyy down there in April. Haha… we have been somewhat nomadic.

Well, when I go there, it will be somewhere by the beach. So make sure you live near beach by the next year,😃 But if you are moving to the Guanacaste province, that shouldn't be a problem 🌴🐋🌴

How hot gets here at summer? Pretty hot and humid too. Anywhere from 27C to 35C. It can feel even hotter with the humidity.
