Long traffic congestions have been made on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway from Feni to Chittagong's Mirsharai, about 45 kilometers. It takes 3/4 hours to reach Feni from Dhaka for more than 15-17 hours.
The traffic jam was started on Thursday.
Today did not leave the traffic jam till Saturday morning. Passengers and drivers have become unhappy after spending hours in the vehicles.
According to the sources, the traffic jam which started on Thursday has spread to Sitakunda of Chittagong on one side and Comilla on the other side after Friday.
In order to avoid traffic congestion, some buses and trucks crossed the 40-kilometer crossing road of Bararhathat Kerarhat and reached the city of Feni but drivers could not enter the highway.
Feni District Traffic Inspector Mir Golam Faruk told reporters that traffic and highway police members are struggling to deal with traffic jam. Police are patrolling the streets all the time.
Meanwhile, Bar Awliya police outpost in-charge Ahsan Habib told reporters that after seeing the traffic jam, the driver was forced to leave the car on the side of the road, due to the intensity of traffic congested by the road.
