How not to be destroyed2.png

Have you ever been unable to sleep because anger, betrayal, jealousy, or worry just kept playing over and over in your head in an endless cycle?

Negative thoughts like these have an almost irresistibly seductive momentum. The longer they persist, the tighter their grip, and the deeper they pull you down.

At this point, you really have two choices. Break the cycle, or drown in your own poison.

I know how this goes, because at one point in my life I was betrayed by a loved one. And if not handled properly, this can destroy you.

There's a reason the Bible says: Pray for those who persecute you. Not because they deserve it, but because the health of your own heart depends upon it. If you don't do this, the poison will eat you alive, destroy your family, and make future happiness impossible.

If you have sinned against a loved one, for the sake of your own heart, put a stop to it. Acknowledge what you did is wrong. And then repent for it. You cannot move forward until you clean your own house.

If you are the person sinned against, let go of your righteous anger. You cannot repay evil with evil. Find a way to reconcile with whoever betrayed you. And forgive them, not because they deserve it, but for the sake of your own heart.

You really have only two choices. Break the cycle of evil. Or, do nothing, and be consumed by it.

Which will you choose?
