Backyard Edits

Brightening up my dreary day by doing a few edits using PicsArt . These were all photos that I had taken while sitting out on the deck, but they weren't good enough to post, so I felt OK about adding some filters and playing around with them.

I think this last one may be my favorite.

You are wonderful! 😘

Nice edits. Nothing says upper Midwest like cardinals and squirrels :)

Thanks! They are a bit stereotypical, aren't they?

How about emblematic ? sounds better. and I really like them

Better word! I'm so glad you are my friend 😘

"Squirrel!"

I'm sure he's plotting and planning. No bird feeder is safe.

The edit of the leaves is quite nice. The boost to contrast and sharpness really bring out the color and texture nicely.

My feeder has kept them out for 20 years! I'm quite pleased with it! And I have another new one hanging in front of the living room window that they try to get at but have not been successful yet!

That sounds like quite the feeder! I've thought about getting the spinny ones, but mostly for entertainment value.

Mine is from Wild Birds Unlimited. It's really simple just a pole with four feet that you push down into the ground and it has a long baffle on it that the squirrels can't get past and then the feeder on top. I put it 10 feet away from any trees or things that the squirrels could jump from like they told me to and it is worked!

What beautiful images. They look great with those effects.

Thanks, sweetie! I need to come by and see what you are posting today!

Thank you!💕 How was your day? How has the cold been today?

I am proud of you because in a gloomy atmosphere you can show a beautiful result of perfect edits like this.

I guess you know which one I love the most from here 🙂🐿️

You are the reason I took that photo in the first place! But the silly Critter wouldn't sit still and even when he appeared to be still, his fur was blowing in the breeze! Made for blurry pictures !

Photography is never easy, especially when it comes to kids and animals. This little cutie pie is so adorable! I love them! Thank you very much for thinking of me and taking the photo 😀

You would get along so well with my daughter!

That's great to hear ;)

howdy there melinda010100! oh my, these are amazing. What a difference that app makes, I like all of them but the squirrel is pretty hard to beat!

Glad you like them! Usually I use Pixlr, but it was fun playing around with this app today.

well it worked and they look great! It's getting late, you getting ready to call it a day?

Soon! I took a nap this afternoon, so I'm still doing pretty good tonight.

oh very good Melinda! What are you working on tonight, just steemit stuff?

Yes just hanging out here! I got all of the plants that I wanted to rescue brought in today and the deck pretty well cleaned up. Watch everything will freeze out there tonight and then we'll get warm temperatures for the next month. I'm hoping that even if we get a frost tonight my chrysanthemums can survive it

ha! well I hope they survive too and I also hope that you can have nice warm temperatures for the next month! haha, yeah right. I think it's getting down to 60 here tonight so that ain't bad at all.

We have alot of months here where we're not running the furnace nor the air conditioner so that's nice!

That would be nice... I seldom have to use the air conditioner, all the trees around me keep the house nicely shaded and cool in the summer even when it's very hot outside. But I've had my furnace running for a couple weeks. I hate being cold.

I think the last one is my favourite too @melinda010100.

that's a great idea for making use of "not good enough" photographs.

It is a fun way for us non artistic folks to be creative!

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

It's not something I have any skill at @melinda010100 and I hope you're not calling yourself non artistic! 😁

Well, I can't compare myself with you, that's for sure!

This editing is getting pretty catcher amazing how beautiful you can get them to look great work !!

Upvoted and Resteemed :)

I'm happy you liked it! It was fun to do.

I have not been with you for a long time, I have devoted one of my posts to my beloved grandma, who I just lost.

Fabulous scenery, accompanies your place.

Greetings my dear friend .

Sending love and hugs to you, my dear friend.

Love all the images Melinda. Especially the second last one as it tends to fall into abstraction. Beautiful colours. Amazing what we can bring to life when we start playing with images that we have previously rejected. 🦋🙏🦋

Thank you. Taking photos and editing them has allowed me to be more creative than I have been in the past. My photos have always been pretty literal so it has been fun for me to play around with them like this. I appreciate your kind words.
