A Disastrous Night Turned Out To Be A Good Start Of The Week!

Hello Dear Steemians!

A nerve disorder on my left eye gave me a sleepless night yesterday and had me awake until til 4:00 AM. Nevertheless, I still woke-up at 6:00 for Lily, brought her out for a pee then I went back to bed and stood up at a couple of hours later.

As a retiree, Mondays do not make any difference to me than any other weekdays. I need not hurry so there is no stress. In fact, today had been a productive one since I was able to do a lot of chores in the house despite the lack of sleep. Hubbs prepared the breakfast so I was able to go back to sleep. After breakfast, I ironed the rest of the newly washed clothing. Then I cooked lunch and I was able to get rid of the veggies left from the week before.

Cooking

I prepared fried onions as well as sautèed vegetables below. It is mixture of all veggies i.e. butternut squash, zucchini, spring onions, aubergine and cherry tomatoes spiced with garlic, salt, pepper and vinegar.

Gardening

Today had also been an inspiring day since the flowers bloomed again in my backyard. I had to tend to the potted ones and there were cutting and pruning done to compensate the days I wasn´t home because of my vacay in the Philippines.
