Special Tips Shalat Khusyuk ala Shaykh Ibnul Mulaqqin

Many people are looking for ways to pursue concentration prayers. They took various attempts in their own way to pursue the prayers that they perceive as solemn prayers. Shaykh Ibnul Mulaqqin himself has special tips for attaining concentrated prayer.

Shaykh Ibnul Mulaqqin, scholar of the school of Shafi'i of the 8th century H, invites Muslims to realize that they are doing while dealing with God. They, said Shaykh Ibnul Mulaqqin, must realize that God is so close and God sees it as the following information:

قال ابن الملقن: ما أحسن قول بعض الصالحين إذا قمت إلى الصلاة فاعلم أن الله تعالى مقبل عليك فأقبل على من هو مقبل عليك وقريب منك وناظر إليك

That is to say, "Ibnul Mulqin says that how beautiful the sentence of a number of pious people follows, 'When you are doing prayer, realize that God is before you. Therefore, face (correctly) the God who is facing you, who is close to you, and is looking at you, '"(See Shaykh Ahmad bin Hijazi Al-Fasyani, Al-Majalisus Saniyyah, Syarah Al-Arbain An-Nawawiyyah, [Semarang, Maktabah Al-Munawwir: without year note], page 62).

Shaykh Ibnul Mulaqqin says, a person who is praying needs to realize that there is no guarantee whatsoever regarding his age, including the guarantee of longevity from one to another prayer movement.

According to him, a person who was praying may imagine that he was walking on the sirath as the following information:

فإذا ركعت فلا تؤمل أن ترفع وإذا رفعت فلا تسارك والصراط

Meaning, "When you are bowing, do not imagine your age is long until i'tidal. If you're being i'tidal, do not imagine your age going on until prostration. Imagine heaven on your right side and hell on your left side while sirath under your soles. If this is the way, then do you really pray? Shaykh Ibnul Mulaqqin says that this consciousness makes one deserve to be called as one who performs the prayer.

Everyone does have his own way. Some closed their eyes. Some focus the view on the face prostration. But this way of Sheikh Ibnul Mulaqqin can be an alternative and add our treasure about the solemn prayer or at least concentration prayer. You know a'lam. (Alhafiz K)
