The record for US solar energy is 2016, when the total capacity of new solar power plants in the country is 15.1 gigawatts, says The Washington Post. In many ways, such success is the result of a policy of US authorities, which offers serious tax benefits for companies that switch to renewable energy sources.

Last year, the record was not renewable, but still 10.6 gigawatts of new capacity was more than viable results, which is 30% higher than in 2015.It is expected that by 2018, the combined capacity of solar power plants in the US will increase by another 10 gigawatts - in other words, the near future of alternative US energy is encouraging.

All solar power plants built in the US can be divided into three types: large industries, which sell electricity to consumers; Medium, which supplies electricity to administrative buildings or small areas; and households, which Americans usually build on the roofs of their homes. It is interesting that in 2017 the decline in new capacity volumes compared to 2016 was caused by industrial and household power generation, but the capacity of solar panels installed from the intermediate category even increased.
