My thoughts
I heard this expression as a child and kept hearing it throughout my childhood. I was being brainwashed in a good way. I could still write this quote today word for word. It a good thing.
What happened is that - while in university this saying sustained me. When I felt overwhelmed and wanted to give up - I recalled why I was working so hard and that She should persevere. This quote is certainly a keeper.
....and guess what - I am now repeat these words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow to my children.
