Two photos of the Sundew plant family, very acidic soil loving plant that actually capture their food (insects) like the Venus Flytrap. The insects they capture are used to supplement the poor mineral nutrition of the soil in which it grows. When hiking through bogs and wetlands one must be alert not to step on them for these beautiful carnivorous plants can be difficult to observe when unaware of their presence.
