Every region or country must have customs and culture. One of the cultures in my area of Seunuddon North Aceh is cooperation in helping the host to carry out festivities or parties. I don't know when this culture exists, as I remember it has always been like this.

Setiap daerah atau negara pasti punya adat dan budaya. Salah satu budaya di daerah saya Seunuddon Aceh Utara adalah kerjasama dalam membantu tuan rumah untuk melaksanakan kenduri atau pesta. Saya tidak tau kapan budaya ini ada, seingat saya sejak dulu sudah seperti ini.

This culture of cooperation or mutual cooperation is valid from the planning of the feast or party until the party is over. Things like this usually apply at a wedding. At the death feast, everyone also helped by donating rice and money. In other festivals, help with the event, for example cooking, washing dishes, preparing dishes and others.

Budaya kerjasama atau gotong-royong ini berlaku sejak perencanaan kenduri atau pesta sampai dengan pestanya selesai. Hal seperti ini biasanya berlaku pada pesta perkawinan. Pada acara kenduri kematian, setiap orang juga ikut membantu dengan menyumbangkan beras dan uang. Pada acara kenduri lainnya, ikut membantu melaksanakan acara, misalnya masak, cuci piring, menyiapkan hidangan dan lain-lain.

Pakat or Consensus

Pakat atau Mufakat

"Pakat" is an event held for deliberation with family members, family, village people and friends. Invitations usually bring money in the form of assistance, the amount can vary according to ability. The host usually announces the party's plans, such as the day / date of the event, who is the bride, how many guests and others.

"Pakat" adalah sebuah acara yang dilakukan untuk musyawarah bersama dengan anggota keluarga, family, orang kampung dan sahabat. Para undangan biasanya membawa bantuan berupa uang, jumlahnya bisa beragam, sesuai dengan kemampuan. Tuan rumah biasanya mengumumkan rencana pesta, seperti hari/tanggal acara, siapa pengantinnya, berapa tamunya dan lain-lain.

"'Pakat' is an event that is very helpful for the host, in terms of finances and energy for the party, this activity is usually done at night, and is served with food or drinks. Pakat is an event that needs to be maintained for future generations.

Party or wedding feast

Pelaksanaan pesta atau kenduri pengantin.

At the wedding party, all villagers, family and friends contributed to the success of the event. Some are preparing the place, some are cleaning the yard, some are preparing kitchen equipment, some are cooking and others. Everyone has their respective duties according to their abilities.

Pada pelaksanaan pesta pengantin, semua warga kampung, famili dan teman ikut andil dalam menyukseskan acara. Ada yang mempersiapkan tempat, ada yang membersihkan halaman, ada yang menyiapkan perlengkapan dapur, ada yang memasak dan lain sebagainya. Setiap orang punya tugas masing-masing sesuai dengan kemampuannya.

The women usually prepare various cooking and spices, and cook several dishes to welcome guests. The men used to cook rice and beulangong sauce. Young people usually welcome guests, maintain menus and wash dishes. A very good collaboration.

Para perempuan biasanya mempersiapkan berbagai alat masak dan bumbu, serta memasak beberapa masakan untuk menyambut tamu. Para lelaki biasa memasak nasi dan kuah beulangong. Para pemuda biasanya menyambut tamu, menjaga menu dan mencuci piring. Sebuah kerjasama yang sangat bagus.

Summary.

Culture like this generally applies in rural areas, in cities in Aceh there are rarely events like this. Events like this really need to be maintained as a place of friendship and helping each other.

Budaya seperti ini umumnya berlaku dipedesaan, di kota - kota yang ada di Aceh sudah jarang ada acara seperti ini. Acara seperti ini sangat perlu dipertahankan sebagai ajang silaturrahmi dan saling membantu sesama warga.
