Banyak kandungan yang ada pada buah kurma yaitu mineral, vitamin, dan fitonutrien yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan.
Tak hanya itu, di dalam kurma juga terdapat zat besi, tembaga, kalium, magnesium, mangan, banyak vitamin B termasuk vitamin B6 (piridoksin), niacin, asam pantotenat, dan riboflavin.
Kandungan kurma lainnya yaitu vitamin A, K, karoten, lutein, zeaxanthin dan serat.
Banyak penelitian mengenai kurma telah dilakukan.
