Jeungki is a traditional Acehnese masonry tool made from the wood of choice used to pound rice into rice or pound rice into flour in the era before 1985. Not only that, Jeungki is also used to pound coffee into powder.
Jeungki is now very difficult to find in everyday life. Usually we will see Jeungki under Rumoh Aceh, like Jeungki that we met at Rumoh Aceh in Teupin Raya.
Jeungki is still on good guard despite being old, Jeungki is usually will be in use at certain moments of the month, such as, Rajab month or month of Ramadan.untuk pound flour and then if the cake into Lebaran.
Jeungki's mode of operation is driven by the foot at the point of overlap to the tip of the lever giving a hard blow. At the tip of the lever in pairs a skeleton consists of two vertical sections connected by a wood (propulsion), so Jeungki will rise and fall. At the other end of the place place the "Alee" to pound the shaft.

With the development of an increasingly modern era, we must maintain this traditional tool. Without the role of society / government in preserving Jeungki this then certainly this traditional rice pestle will be lost forever because replaced with a more modern tools.
