The Wicker Night - Poetry

in esteem •  6 years ago

The skies turned a deep shade of blue,
As they waited in contemplation.

The final fight was here,
The stage was set for it.

Yellow fanged, red eyed,
Creatures of the night arose.

They lurked in every alley,
Waiting to take their victims to the death valley.

The street lamps flickered,
As they passed by as a lightning.

Blood stained roads told lies,
Of a delightful violent pleasure.

None knew any better,
Of the war that had descended upon humanity.
