Ledger Nano X Delivery Delayed

Today’s post was supposed to be about how I am getting ready for my upcoming vacation with the family and how I am preparing regarding my engagement on Steem but the time has gotten the best of me and I have not had the time to write something worth posting. However, as I was going through my emails today I saw that I got an announcement from Ledger regarding the Nano X. I had been awaiting the delivery around this time as per the expectations stated with the preorder months ago. I was actually wondering how I would coordinate given the fact I will traveling next week. However, my Ledger Nano X will be delayed at least another month.

As per Ledger’s explanation, they have run into some quality issues with a supplier which has forced them to delay delivery of my Ledger Nano X. They do not go into details regarding if it was only a subset or all preorders but mine was one that will be delayed. Remember, they will be some exlcusive engraving on those that preordered in a certain allotted time which could also be a reason of the delay. While I was looking forward to my new hardware wallet, I prefer quality and security which are the fundamental reasons I preordered it so I can wait.

However, what came as a surprise was the fact that they will make an effort to make it up to the customers impacted by this delay! In the email, they announce that they will be giving those impacted by the delays a free Ledger Nano S! Valued at about $90, this is a great way to incentivize those who have to wait. Although I already have some hardware wallets it’s never a bad idea to have a couple. I even considered to give one away here on my post or blog but it may not be a good idea because people should not except hardware wallets from anyone. Something I will be considering in the coming days is what to do with it. I have yet to convince anybody from the family or close friends to really make an allocation into cryptocurrencies so that option probably won’t be the one. I will keep you posted what I decide to do.

Given the coming increase in adoption for blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, our security should be a priority and the development progress being made will help most participants of the market improve their position as they continue to innovate with products. We cannot expect to achieve commercial adoption if business and even customers cannot find easy ways to access and use their assets. This is part of the journey to ensure that cryptocurrencies become more popular in the long term.
