After passing a hot series in the hemisphere, this weekend MotoGP title will enter the round in Europe with the Jerez Circuit as an opening that colored the tight competition in the top of the standings.
Jerez circuit will be the race arena of the fourth series of MotoGP season 2018 which will take place from Friday (5/4) afternoon until Sunday (6/4) the next night.
Last season, the track was very friendly with Spanish riders. With Dani Pedrosa, Marc Marquez, and Jorge Lorenzo successfully secured the three main podiums. Nevertheless, the MotoGP icon, Valentino Rossi, still holds the title as king of Jerez with seven victories that he noted throughout his career.
Adding to the exciting atmosphere of competition, until now no one has been able to break the fastest lap time Lorenzo, 1 minute 37.910 seconds, in 2015 while still defending the Movistar Yamaha team.
However, in terms of speed, ex rider Ducati Andrea Iannone is still in power with reaching a maximum speed of up to 295.9 km / h three seasons ago.
This weekend, the attention will be focused on the fierce competition in the top standings. Currently, Andrea Dovizioso, Marquez, and Maverick Vinales, and Cal Crutchlow still dominate by locking the top four positions.
On the other hand, Pedrosa, who has the status of last season's race winner, needs to be wary considering that until now he has collected 18 points.
