Nepal's army has said that at least 50 people were killed in the 67-passenger plane of the US-Bangla Airlines plane crashed at Tribhoban International Airport.
The US-Bangla authorities said the 78-seat aircraft had 67 passengers and 4 crew members. Tribhuvan Airport Authority said that 37 of them were men, 27 women and two children.
37 of them are Bangladeshi. 32 people in Nepal, 1 in Maldives and 1 in China were among the others.
According to information provided by Prem Nath Tagore, spokesman of Trivuban International Airport, the 78-seat Bombardier's Dash 8Q-400 model of the plane crashed in 2:20 pm local time. The flight, named Asu-Auji, left Dhaka at 1:43 pm.
Immediately after the accident, the airport has been closed for all flights of the aircraft.
Airport officials said they saw the passengers coming out of the aircraft to wash and rush out of the air. Some of the passengers were injured.
After the crash of the plane, Tri Tribunal Airport was declared closed. All flights canceled. Nepal's Prime Minister KP Oli visited the accident site. A two-member investigation team of Civil Aviation from Dhaka is going to Nepal tomorrow.
US Airways Air Chief Executive Officer Imran Asif said, "We have received reports that the plane crashed at Kathmandu Airport. We are trying to contact Dhaka. We are trying to get details. Besides, the airline's introduction of the identity of the passengers on the Facebook page.
Civil Aviation Authority's Public Relations Officer Rezaul Karim said 67 passengers were among 71 passengers on board. At least 40 Bangladeshis were among the passengers. Two of them were children and 27 were women and 37 were male.

Trivedi International Airport spokesman Prem Nath Tagore said the plane was set on fire after landing. Later the plane was knocked out of a nearby football field.
