Seasonic Presents Powerful Solution For Cabling Management In Computex

in esteem •  6 years ago

Seasonic brings something fun for cable management for users at the Computex Taipei 2018 event, where they now have a cabling management system with Backplane features or they call it the SCMD. This feature removes modular designs and replaces them with this feature to remove any clutter in cable affairs, making it much easier and tidy.
This latest design certainly allows a much more solid option and facilitate the user in the management of the cable, although the backplane that was present was quite large and long. However, manufacturers seem to ensure that this option will be much easier to install, especially as it comes with a much thinner and more robust option and brings support for RGB features.

So, how does SCMD Work from Seasonic It?

With a compatible PSU, users can connect directly to Backplane Seasonic, aka SCMD, with all the power sockets distributed on the side of the device. We just connect the cables we need, and leave whatever we do not need. It's thin enough to fit on the back of the motherboard, so it hides almost all the user cables and also ensures we do not have to stretch additional motherboard power cables.

Seasonic claims that it will introduce the SCMD feature into the user's system power loop which will also add an overall 1% efficiency level, making it the perfect alternative for modular cabling. As with all the special things at Computex this year, it also supports RGB logo, especially for those who prefer to install it where it can contribute with a third option in the casing.

Currently, we do not have any available pricing or dates yet, but Seasonic ensures that the choice of PSU with SCMD features will come in three sizes to ensure the right match on most systems. We will continue to update all the latest information in the next article.
