Man everyday has a lot of needs to be met and when one need is satisfy, I must tell you that another need will come up. That is why many people think it is not easy to satisfy human needs.

There so many things that man always have on his list on a daily basis and always make sure he satisfy them all but there are ways in which these needs appear and some needs are very important to the length that they must be satisfy first and that is why it is refers to as hierarchy of needs.

According to Maslow, he grouped these needs into various groups and also identified some of the principles of needs follows;

• Man is insatiable quest for need
• Man grade their needs in order of importance
• As soon as one pressing need is satisfied, another needs emerges which will push the already satisfied needs into background.

These principles as identified by Maslow cut across the way every being live their life's. Man has insatiable quest in the sense that when there is condition to satisfy one need, man will always move from one place to another in other to make sure that the need is satisfied.

Maslow identified and categorized 7 human needs in order of urgency.

• Physiological Needs: These are needs needed directly for survival such as food, shelters. It is very necessary for man to eat everyday, get some clothes, if all these needs are not met, man can not think of other things in life.

• Safety Needs: Needs that fall under this category has to do with keeping off danger and physical threats.

• Affection Needs: There is need for man to love and yo be loved in return because it is very crucial to personality development. There is need to show love to one another.

• Achievement Needs: This has to do with the need to be recognized, respected and be independent as a result of personal attributes such as strength and intelligence.

• Self Esteem Needs: Man need to feel good about himself and to feel worthy of the respect of others. These needs are based on the individual meeting social standards to win approval of self and others in the society.

• Aesthetic Needs: we all love beautiful things and appreciate it. Things like work of art, beautiful cars and designers.

• Self Actualization: These are the needs yo be singled out in ones life achievement by achieving extra ordinary feats such as inventing new things.

All these are needs that man quest for on a daily basis and when one stage is not satisfied, it is not possible to go to another stage. No one will ever think of anything when there is no food to eat or clothes to wear.
