The weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar is called the impact of external factors, namely the strengthening of the US dollar, the rise in US Treasury-US Treasury bond rates-above 3 percent, and market anticipation of another possible rate-increase in the Fed Fund Rate-rate interest rate of the Central Bank of the United States of America.
Nevertheless, the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK), which consists of the Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority and the Deposit Insurance Corporation, stated that Indonesia's financial system in the first quarter of 2018 was stable and under control.
