"Bunga Lumu"
adalah tanaman hias yang tumbuh di dataran Gayo, kemudian orang mengembangkan tanaman bunga ini di pantai utara Aceh dan di semua daerah lain.
"Bunga Lumu"
diambil dari bahasa Gayo (bunge) berarti bunga sedangkan "Lumu" berarti lemah atau lunak, Bunga ini pada dasarnya adalah bunga liar yang berhasil dikembangkan.
Bunga ini pada dasarnya sebelum ditanam oleh masyarakat, awalnya hanya di kaki bukit yang berdekatan dengan sungai di hutan.
Bunga ini menyerupai bunga terompet tetapi
Bunga lengan lebih pendek dari bunga terompet dan juga bunga pisang seperti bunga yang juga dikembangkan sebagai tanaman hias.
Bunga ini adalah tanaman yang unik dan memiliki tampilan warna yang sangat berpariasi itu sendiri dengan garis garis merah muda yang menyerupai plakat Raja Raja.
