I took this photo almost two years ago on the way home from a shoot. It was one of those moments where I instantly knew I had to pull over to take a photo. However, when I got back home and imported the photo into Lightroom, I hated it. Icouldn’t figure out how to balance the colors to bring out the feeling of the cold morning and the wetness of the road, while still maintaining the beautiful yellow of the leaves. The entire landscape had either a blue or yellow hue. I was getting nowhere at the time so I moved on.
It wasn’t until this year that I revisited the photo. Now, far more familiar with Lightroom and editing, I tried again. I love the photo now. For me, it’s not only a beautiful photo, it’s also symbolic of how I have improved over the past two years
