Google stores information about every app and extension we use. They know how often we use them (Reuters)
JavaPos.com - Without us aware, by accessing data in cyberspace, we have deposited our personal data to Facebook and Google. As reported by The Guardian, according to Data Consultant and Web Developer, Dylan Curran, here are our data that are already owned by Facebook and Google.
1. Google knows where we are
Gogle stores our location (if activating location tracking) every time we turn on the smartphone. We can also see the timeline of the places we've visited since the first day using the smartphone.
2. Google knows our search history, even those that have been deleted
Google stores search history on all of our devices. That means if we delete the search history and phone history on one device, it may still have data stored from other digital devices.
3. Google has our advertising profile
`Facebook offers a similar option to download all the information we've ever made (Reuters)`
Google creates an advertising profile based on our information, including location, gender, age, hobbies, career, interests, relationship status, income.
4. Google knows all the applications we use
Google stores information about every app and extension we use. They know how often we use it, where to use it, and with whom we interact with it. That means they know who we are talking to on Facebook, up to what time we sleep.
5. Google has our YouTube search history
Google stores all of our YouTube history so they may know our status. If we are conservative, progressive, Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, Google will know. Even if we feel depressed or want to commit suicide.
6. Our data in Google can be millions of Word documents
Google offers the option to download all the data it holds about us. Approximately when downloaded a large file 5.5 GB will be equivalent to 3 million word documents. This link includes bookmarks, e-mail, contacts, Google Drive files, all the above information such as YouTube history, photos on our phone, google hangout history, location history, music we listen to, and more.
7. Facebook has our data rim
Facebook offers a similar option to download all the information we've ever made. If we have about 600 MB, it will be equal to 400 thousand word documents. It includes every message we ever send, all contacts on the phone, and all the audio messages we've sent or received from other senders of e-mail.
8. Facebook and Google can access our web and microphone
The data they collect includes tracking where we are, what applications we use, access to webcam and microphone, contacts, e-mail, calendar, call history, messages we send and receive, files we download, games we play, video, music, even what radio station we listen to.
9. Google knows which events we attend
Google Calendar shows detailed data, shows all events we've added, whether we're really present and what time we attend the event.
10. Google has information we delete
This is an example of my Google Drive content, which includes files I explicitly delete including my resume, my monthly budget, and all the codes, files and websites I've ever created.
11. Google can find out sports routines
Through Google Fit, we can measure all the steps ever taken, whenever we start walking anywhere.
12. Google has our photos for years
All photos ever taken with the phone, will be grouped by year, and include metadata when and where we take photos
13. Google has every e-mail we ever send
Every e-mail we have ever sent, which has been sent to us, including those we have deleted or categorized as spam.
14. There's Lots more
Google also has all the images we've searched and saved, every location we've searched for or clicked on, every news article we've searched or read, and every search, up to every YouTube video we've ever searched for and watched.
