Premier League club Everton has made a bid of £30m to Arsenal in order to sign winger Alex Iwobi.

Earlier on, Marco Silva's side had made attempt to have Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha in their squad and even went to the extent of offering £70m. However, the deal could fall through as Crystal Palace is said to demand £100m for their star player.

Palace had received an offer from Everton of £70m plus James McCarthy and a season-long loan deal for Cenk Tosun, but that was rejected.

Because of the failure of their bid to buy Zaha, Everton targeted to buy Iwobi as alternative, offering Arsenal £25m upfront with a further £5m in add-ons.

However, their bid is said to have been rejected by Arsenal.

What's their next step now? Are they gonna up their bid for Alex lwobi or back down entirely?

Only time will tell.
