Not long after Al Fahim sold the club again to Ali Al Faraj. al Fahim, (42) did not attend the trial and was sentenced in absentia.

Prosecutors said Al Fahim's wife was aware of the loss of funds in large amounts after the interest he should receive from a bank account opened in 2009 was nil.

he then contacted the bank manager, who turned out to "keep stalling" even though he asked to move funds in the account in September 2011.

When he finally came to the bank, Al Fahim's wife was informed that there was no money left in the account.

he then went to the legal department of the bank to solve the problem. And when they do not take action, the woman then reports to the police.

the Dubai court sentenced him to five years in prison to bank managers for criminal thefts, falsification of official documents and use of false documents.

Moved owners seven times

at the time of Al Fahim's, Portsmouth was in the Premier League, but suffered financial problems and difficulty paying players and staff salaries.

four years later, Pompey suffered relegation three times and switched owners seven times, in addition to two times the English football (FA) took over the management of the club.

in 2013, the club was taken over by Pompey Supporters Trust (PST), which then sold it to former Disney executive Michael Eisner in August 2017.
