Happiness seems so far away
My heart is feeling lost
Hoping hope would stay...

Destiny just loves to play
Playing tricks without cause
Happiness seems so far away

From a distant I saw a tiny ray
I think my heart just made a toss
Hoping hope would stay...

Is there something I could say
To make the world pause?
Happiness seems so far away

I wonder, is this the right way?
Or is the path just a ruse?
Hoping hope would stay...

For a bit of joy, I'm willing to pay
To bring colors on a life without gloss
Why is happiness seems so far away?
Desperately hoping hope would stay...

What is a Villanelle?

 

A villanelle (also known as villanesque) is a nineteen-line poetic form consisting of five tercets followed by a quatrain. There are two refrains and two repeating rhymes, with the first and third line of the first tercet repeated alternately until the last stanza, which includes both repeated lines. The villanelle is an example of a fixed verse form. The word derives from Latin, then Italian, and is related to the initial subject of the form being the pastoral.
