March 14. A Promise Made Is A Promise Kept - What Cancer looks like in the Body

We have 35 mph winds gusting to 60-70. As a result the power is out. So any of you have a little power to spare so I can power up some here. Its never fun to not have electricity.

I said that I would show the results of my PET scan as soon as I could get the images downloaded. The PET scan was taken on September 26th . Well that time has come even though it is 6 months ago. The reason for the delay is that I feel much better now and able to jump through the hoops to get this information. It is important for anyone involved with cancer to see these things. The more information you have the better equipped you are to go through cancer.

What happens on a PET scan is that they inject you with a radioactive glucose (sugar) that lights up only the cancer cell so they can be viewed. The greater the quantity of cancer cell the brighter the image.

This image is looking down into the body from the head into the chest cavity. That big yellow object is the liver. The ring around the outside are the bones that are infected.

image

This was the 1st image I saw months ago. It was horrifying, especially my family. You don’t have to be a doctor to see the intensity of the cancer in the spinal cord, Liver and bones. The lesser infected areas brain And nodes.

image

This image showed us the effected Kidney’s , more bone , some lung and other organs I can’t identify Off hand. There are not to many things, organs that were not effected.

I have said over and over how bad this way. You can’t really get a good idea of it with blood tests and my stating of what was going on. Maybe now that you have images you can get a better feel for the situation. The reason why I have to go through bone therapy treatments. Why I am so forceful on the 90 days.

The liver jumps out at you. But that is a good thing. The liver is an organ that will heal itself. When we started chemo it was just in time because the liver shut down, it came back as the cancer cells died. A remarkable event. It still has to get rid of all the dead cells but in time it will.
This is what advanced Small Cell Cancer looks like.
If cancer or anything is getting you down, look at thoes images. I am still here kicking strong. Be strong

Cancer may be a killer but it does not have to kill you.

I can imagine how scary and horrifying it was when you first saw these. If Jim saw images like these, he never shared them with us. I am so impressed with your strength.

The expression on the Doctors face spoke volumes. And him going over the diagnosis priceless.

It is horrifying. One day at a time and set goals or achievement.

Wow man, that really hits it home how scary that was and impresses me, even more, the way you have fought this. Stay strong and I hope to see many more post from you.

You can read all the reports and non of them will have the same impact as thoes pictures do.
That was a day I will never forget.

😢 this is a scary fact that would killed somebody who is not as strong as you @wolfhart 😯 that bad tiny things were everywhere😐 so glad that you still fighting for your life against it until now. I hope that aftwr 90 days.. all thise bright color will turn to be nirmal again. Thank you for your information and keep sharing it with us.. I do learn about it from your posts.

The 1st time I saw the images was when they told me I only had a couple of months at best to live. The images confirmed their prognosis. I could not beleive that cancer could spread so fast throughout the whole body.
I hope the bright colors are gone now hahaha. I need the 90 days to have the organs and bones to recover more. I can’t start any treatment before the 90 days if the cancer causes more problems. 90 days is the minimum, more time is preferred.

I look like a candle. I like the way the spinal cord lined up like blocks. Hehehe
Looking at The scans bring back some emotional feelings. We went through hard times for a couple of months.

I do learn about it from your posts.

I hope so and share it. It is important. People need information on cancer. There are so many types. I can speak about one of the worst cancers, Small Cell.
Face cancer head on Faith and hope

Dear @wolfhart,

It was really a horrifying sight. But, that was in the past. You were able to move on and, happily blogging. Yes. often, its difficult to remember scary, painful and daunting details in the past and, thank you for sharing them with us.

Remember this though: we are living in the present and, as far as I know, you are going to beat cancer. Not just on this round but in your lifetime.

Take good care of yourself always.

Anne

Very nice words
I do beleive that we have to remember the past so we can move forward in the future.
It was a scary time, and now we can handle these times better and overcome them. Look at the situation rationally and take the appropriate actions to solve the problem

How are you doing in the land of down under. I hope all is going good with you. Be safe

Well, I am still getting over the death of my dog but, in my studies, I think that I am adjusting just fine. I love staying here actually.

Sorry about your dog. I am glad that you like (love) it there. That’s important

It was something we have been trying to deny for a few months now. But at least, when she did passed away, she was with her family. She did not die alone.

That is so important. Being around loved ones.

Yes indeed. My dad was with her the whole time. Talking to her and telling her to just let go. It is all right.

I never saw that kond off images before. It is a miracle tomorrow day 45 ! I am proud of you strenght and keep it up you can do it

That’s a PET scan. It took over 1300 images.
Miracle is the only way to explain it. That much cancer spread like that.
I have seen other PET cancer images and none of them as bad.

I have always said that I would put the information out along with the official tests . Accurate information is important for people to use for decisions they might have to make.

Yes we will do it

Your strong will keeps the body running, your spirit reminds of my dad never giving up.

Sounds like a good man :)
You have to keep going. Everyday you go a little further. Push harder no matter how much you hurt.
That’s the deal

cancer seriously pathetic. it's very harmful for human health. thanks to share your content.

It is seriously pathetic and also very serious. Not to be taken lightly . As you said very harmful for human. I hope the information I provide helps people cope with cancer.

Thank you for you comment :-)

also thanks for your feedback dear.

I first became a medic to go to clinical Nuclear Medicine school.

Unfortunately, AFTER I'd been in for awhile, I was told that the minimum age requirement was 19. I was 17 at the time, damnit!

That was the first in the chain of events that landed me in SpecWar.

My buddy went through the school and would rub my nose in it for decades. He got out after just one hitch and got a great job that lead to a lucrative career.

Shit, he would boast that his normal day was shooting isotopes in one or two patients every other day; while going to conferences on new techniques and machines the rest of the time.

Anyway, I enjoyed your post, buddy.

May you and yours feel well and love life today.

Namaste, JaiChai

LOL
Yep had a couple of buddies that are now big shots in corporate America. But I can’t complain I hit a couple of schools that resulted in assignments that were rewarding only problem is that they were not personally monetary rewarding. Young and dumb ! hahaha

I had no idea @wolfhart. Just goes to show we are all going through something. Glad you're kicking cancer's butt!

That is so true, we all are going through things.
We’re kicking cancer all right. LOL
Its all one day at a time. Never taking your eye off the ball

Modern medicine really is amazing, isn't it? Keep "kicking strong"!!

And as per your request, I stopped by to see your photos. I'm currently printing them and am going to paste them on the ceiling above our bed :)
