Pandavas and Draupadi retreat into the forest for 12 years and cover 1 year.

Wanaparwa is the 3rd book of Mahabharata and is the 2nd direct passage of the book; Sabhaparwa.

Inside Wanaparwa it is told how the Pandavas and the Draupadi goddess had to live in the forest for 12 years because Yudistira lost the gamble. Wanaparwa's book is the basis of inspiration of Old Javanese literature; kakawin Arjunawiwaha by Kanwa masters.
