Takengon is one of the places in Central Aceh District, Aceh Province. The name of Aceh is derived from the language of Aceh, which means bend or turn. Is due to travel to the location must pass the incline of the hills, the slopes of the mountain, the road is winding and steep.

Takengon adalah salah satu tempat di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah, Provinsi Aceh. Nama Takengon berasal dari bahasa Aceh yang artinya tikungan atau kelokan. Ini disebabkan perjalanan menuju lokasi harus melewati tanjakan perbukitan, lereng-lereng gunung, jalan yang berkelok dan curam.

The land Above the Clouds

Lake Laut Tawar

Lake laut tawar is the largest lake in the Province of Nangroe Aceh Darussalam. The tribe that lives here is the tribe of gayo. They have a regional language different from the language of Aceh.

Danau Laut Tawar

Danau laut tawar merupakan danau terluas di Provinsi Nangroe Aceh Darussalam. Suku yang hidup di sini adalah suku gayo. Mereka memiliki bahasa daerah yang berbeda dari bahasa Aceh lainnya.

Selama perjalanan mengelilingi danau ini, akan ada banyak pemandangan kebun kopi. Kopi tumbuh subur dan kualitasnya baik. Ini dikarenakan iklim, suhu, dan tanah di sekitarnya cocok untuk ditanami kopi.

Pantan Terong

Dari kota Takengon, jarak menuju tempat ini adalah sekitar 7,5 kilometer. Tidak terlalu jauh, hanya menghabiskan waktu 15 menit. Pada saat ke tempat ini, diharapkan agar berhati-hati karena jalanannya yang terjal. Tempat ini sangat pas untuk melepaskan penat dan menyegarkan pikiran. Karena dari tempat ini kita bisa memandangi indahnya danau laut tawar.
