Forgiveness of Sins (16): Identification and Forgiveness!
Text: Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

From the letter to the Galatians, we have deduced that the forgiveness of sins is the product of the sacrifice of Christ. He died for our sins and was raised for our Justification! Paul said that in Romans.

Study what Paul is saying in the text above: identification is the key! Remember Paul told us in Romans 4:25 what Christ did and in this verse, Paul is saying that everything Christ did, He did as us, with us and for us!

So, the statement of the new creation is what Paul says above! We have been crucified with Christ and now Christ lives in us! That is the state of the believer: Christ lives in a believer and this identification brings about the indwelling! In this state of indwelling, we have forgiveness of sins! Identification is our assurance of forgiveness!
