An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

Yesterday my cousin a priest celebrated his 60th birthday in his parish in the city. They catered for 300+ guests but wow 500+ came. Good thing the caterer is the mother of his nephew’s wife and a very close family friend. And we also became good friends.

A lot of friends and religious orgs also doanted a lot of food and cakes and even roasted pig (lechon) which is kind of expensive.

Since tHe caterer and I are good friends I was given some lechon to take home hehe. I was the first guest with my mommand then others from my town who are also first cousins arrived. We were the first guests, living far but arrived early. That was good because we were able to get a table near the buffet table and eat well.

While my friend was checking the table settings and dessert and fruit tables, she came over to me and gave me 3 huge apples!

Wow they were nice and crispy. Have not had any apples this big, someonegave the imported apples. Aw she was really nice and I am glad we are good friends.

So I had one this morning after breakfast and of course I shared with my mom, I gave her a few thin slices so she won’t have a hard time eating them.

Thankful for good close friends.
