Callisto Network Airdrop was the good news for ETC holders. The ETC purchased at the exchange is flexible according to the exchange policy and must be prepared in advance in order to ensure that the coins are given for free by individuals.

So, if you create a personal wallet and you have an ETC with your personal wallet address by sending an ETC purchased at the exchange to your personal wallet address, you can be assured of it regardless of whether or not the exchange has air drop support.

If you are planning to make a wallet for the first time before making a personal wallet, it is necessary to understand the concept of wallet in the password currency.

It is a personal wallet for ETC, so please understand first that you need to make an Ether wallet. Briefly, if you create an Ether wallet, you can think of it as an ETC or an ERC-20 token (EOS, OmiseGo ..) that you can hold at this wallet address.

If you have a lot of problems, or if you have difficulty in using the wallet, please make your wallet by following the procedure below. It does not really matter which program you use. It does not matter which one you use because it creates a private address where you want to keep the ETC.

I will try to create an address using the most known myetherwallet (mew). If you use mew to create an address, it is not available only in mew, so you can use this address later on any other web or program.

STEP 1. Create wallet in Mew
The two things you should know as a habit when creating (or using) your wallet in online mode are listed below in the site address field. This is the minimum rule to prevent important information from being leaked while using the site because it is infected with a phishing site or hacking program.

Set a password that is sufficiently complicated and memorable to 9 characters or more and click the [Create Wallet] button. Then click the [Download Keystore File] button and click [I understand. continue] button. (In this example, we set the password to Gazuaaa82.)

Keystore (UTC / JSON) file storage location
Keystore files are usually stored under your computer. Since this keystore file is an encrypted file of the private key (password for wallet address), it is best to remember the storage location and store it separately in a separate storage device or USB.

Private Key Key Store & Print
Private Key is very important and you should backup (store) separately. If you use a private key on a phishing site, your coin may be stolen from your wallet. Please save the contents of the private key below using Notepad or Word program separately. If you have a printer connected to your PC, we recommend printing it by pressing the [Print paper wallet] button.

STEP 2. Access Wallet from Mew (Access)
After completing the above procedure, you will see a screen showing various ways to access your wallet as shown below. The keystore and private key are used in this article. It shows Meta Mask (Chrome), Ledger, TREZOR, Digital Bitbox (Hardware), Mnemonic (Mnemonic), Keystore (Web) and Private Key. Another option is to have a hardware device or install a meta mask on Chrome, so we will use Keystore & Private Key.

Accessing Keystore Files
This method is an Access method by reading the keystore file saved in STEP 1 and then inputting the password (eg Gazuaaa82) specified in STEP 1.

If you copy and enter 64 characters of Private Key, the [Unlock] button becomes activ

Public Key & Balance Check
You can see the address (Public Key) of the wallet you created and the ETH balance 0 displayed next to it. If you have any questions about whether or not the ETC balance should be displayed as 0, please check the following details to resolve the question. Once you have confirmed the information below, you have finished creating your wallet.

STEP 3 Exchange <-> Personal Wallet ETC Transmission
Exchange withdrawal -> Personal wallet deposit
Now that you have created an ETC Personal Wallet address to be deposited, you can withdraw the coins that are available at the Exchange, such as ETH, ETC, and ERC-20 tokens purchased from the Exchange. For example, you can use the ETC drop-down menu on the island to enter the STEP 2 public key in the Etherium Classic withdrawal address.

We recommend that you first withdraw the minimum amount (over 0.02 ETC) for the validity and safety of your address as much as the address you just created.

Personal withdrawal -> Deposit
If you have withdrawn from the exchange and have confirmed your personal wallet deposit, please check it again from Personal Wallet to Exchange. The reason for doing this is because you have to sell through exchanges in order to eventually cash out, or you can check later if you have confirmed the deposit with the personal wallet on the exchange.

First, change the network ETC as shown below. The default is ETH in MEW. Select ETH network to transmit ETH & ERC-20 token, or ETC network to transmit ETC.

After changing network to ETC, proceed to ① ② ③ step as shown below. Please refer to STEP 2 for the steps in ② and it is also possible to use Private Key.

If the operation progresses normally, the transmission screen shown below will be displayed. In the same way, execute steps ① ② ③ ④ ⑤. The most important thing is: ① When you input the exchange address, you must check whether the address of your exchange is correct. It is important that you check carefully like customs.

After entering the actual required value,

After executing [Transact Transmission], there is a part displayed as ETH in the screen below, but it seems to be a MEW site error, and you can ignore it, and carefully check Coin: ETC, epool.io and the address to which the payment is received.

It is a result screen (MEW) that went well. Click [Verify Transation] and you will be directed to gastracker.io, which will give you more details of your transaction history.
If the red screen is displayed instead of the green result screen as shown in the figure below, it means that there are some errors. If you see the content and you do not understand it, please get help from another person to find out what caused the error.

STEP 1 ~ 3 We used the MEW site to create and transfer wallets. We will now use the CEW site. If you visit the site, you think it is very similar to the MEW site. The CEW site is based on the MEW site. In other words, aid is MEW. Please understand that.

The difference between each website is that the basic network is ETH, ETC. The features that each site supports are similar. It does not matter which site you use to create your address.

The CEW transmission screen is the same as STEP 3. Please proceed to the same procedure to access the wallet.

STEP 5 Callisto balance check
Since the callisto air drop has not yet been made, the generated address is not entered and the balance is zero. Here's how you can check your Callisto balance with the assumption that you have received a Callisto Air Drop later.

Currently, only CEW sites only include Callisto Network, so you need to use CEW. If Callisto Network is included in MEW site later, you can check it on MEW site.

STEP 6 Check your personal wallet balance
You can check your balance through the above mentioned MEW and CEW sites. The balance shown below is the result of an inquiry at another e-mail address of the 48th place of ETH reserve.

Understanding STEP 7 Fees (Gas)
Those who are accustomed to 0.01 ETC and 0.01 ETH as a fee for withdrawal from coin exchange will be able to access some unfamiliar words such as Gas Limit and Gas Price while using their personal wallet address. Use expressions. You can set up a value other than the default value of 21000 for the above mentioned Personal Wallet -> Cash On Demand. For more details and concept, please refer to the link below. General wallet -> If you want to withdraw from the exchange, you can use the default of 21000.
