Hey everyone!
Today has been an eventful day in the digital currency cryptosphere. As for me, I am team #livelongandhold and hope this is just a blip on our future history of decentralized currency. While I was avoiding all the dooms day reports, I noticed some recent news and wanted to get your perspective.
Just this morning two knew ETFs were launched and listed on the NASDAQ exchange. In case you didn't know, an ETF is short for "exchange traded fund" and is a collection of securities you can buy or sell on a stock exchange. This is a big deal in investor circles because they are the first of their kind to be approved.

Traditional Investments and Decentralized Blockchain Success
It seems pretty clear that blockchain tech will save companies billions of dollars (there are seriously some dinosaurs out there). That savings can translate to more competition, and can lower costs for end users. I'm all about not paying more than I need too, especially for everyday expenses!
With that said, I wonder if big moneys investment in blockchain technology will eventually threaten the progress that has been made with #bitcoin, #ethereum, and all the other #altcoins?
What do you think?
Do you think these investments in companies involved in blockchain technologies will advance the goals of Bitcoin/Ethereum or will it hinder them?
P.S.
I'm new to Steemit, and just getting started. I posted this because I hope to learn more from the community and I'm interested in reading the different perspectives on the latest digital currency developments. Thanks for reading!
