Hi everyone, Nick here.
So we have a couple of exciting articles to go over today. We will first take a look at what the CEO of Enjin coin is doing. Then we visit the blockchain platform known as Seascape Network. Followed by Metis corporation and lastly, there is an article from Fast Company publications titled “NFTs are much bigger than art fad. Here’s how they could change the world.” And lastly, I have a special treat for you die-hard NFT fans in case you have not stumbled onto the YouTube video already.
NFT Plazas
So let's go ahead... We will first start with the article coming from Enjin coin. This information came from Enjin’s coin’s media website called NFT Plaza. The article says that they concluded the private sale of their NFT token called EFI last month that raised $18.9 million which in my opinion is not that bad. The CEO of Enjin coin recently announced yesterday on Twitter that there will be a public sale however a date has not been confirmed. So for you NFT fans, you just have to stay tuned and see what further announcement Enjin will have on their Twitter page. Now from my understanding, Enjin will be running on the PolkaDot network instead of Ethereum. So this is both good for token holders and NFT collectors because it will be more scalable and you will not have to pay those crazy Ethereum high gas prices. But let me know what you guys think. Will you be participating in this public sale? My personal opinion and don’t take this as financial advice, I can see price estimates of anywhere between $50 to $100 million directly from this public sale. This is based on my experience on other platforms and giving that crypto sentiment is very positive this year. But regardless, let me know your thoughts here.
And this next article comes from Bitcoin.com which I believe is owned by Roger Ver. The Blockchain company Metis released its first-ever community-minted NFT launched on OpenSea. We will check out what these NFT collections look like during our Live Friday NFT Art Show. Their collection attracted bids of 7 ETH and allowed 256 lucky users to share their proceeds of the NFT auction with artists which to me sounds like great news. This auction is still going on and will not be over until Monday. So if you are interested you can check out their product on OpenSea. But let me know what you guys think about this. I will not be participating in this auction. It's a first of its kind for this community. But regardless let us know your thoughts.
Now moving to the next article by Fast Company publication titled “NFTs are much bigger than art fad. Here’s how they could change the world.” The article states that Sotheby’s has become the latest establishment to dive into NFTs through its collection with anonymous digital artist Pak and NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway. The auction house sold The Fungible Collection, a “novel collection of digital art for $17 million. And as I recall this purchase made headline news. Now I have one question for you guys. If you had $1 million would you buy this NFT from Sotheby's? Well, guess what someone did pay $1 million for this. So let me know in the comments section below what you guys think. I think it's up to the buyer and their perception of value so I leave it at that but also considering it not just any NFT since it's a Sotheby’s collection.
