Blockchain x Public Space Exhibition Supported by ETH / 이더리움 회사 ConSensys와의 전시 + 쪼야님 굿즈 인증!

Project Update!

I recently won ETH exhibition grant and will be working with the Consensys team, the Ethereum company for next few weeks for launching an installation project for the Ethereal Summit in May in NYC. The project is going to propose a new civic engagement structure with public spaces and parks introduced by blockchain.

In past years, design practitioners have been trying to redevelop a sustainable park-management model. The corporate driven economy has limitations in providing robust revenue streams for public space asset management. Local park conservancies and non-profit organizations always have to chase limited government funds or rely on private donations to find resources for maintaining green spaces.

With blockchain technology, I see an opportunity to build local economy around a public space to transform the engagement model with new funding sources, modes of information storage and token distribution. For this exhibition, I am going to develop possible scenarios around the Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn, NY as a pilot site to showcase this model for other parks. Overall, I look to argue that parks will need a decentralized management model to sustain themselves. There are currently 1700 parks in New York City and the blockchain will able a new type of practice.

이더리움 회사 ConsenSys와 오는 5월 Ethereal Summit 콘퍼런스에 전시하게 되었습니다. 공원이나 랜드마크 등 공공영역 관리에서 블록체인의 토큰분배, 정보 보관 시스템이 어떻게 사용될 수 있는지 시나리오 등의 콘텐츠를 다룰 예정입니다.

저의 블록체인 지식은 스팀의 글들, 특히 @carrotcake님의 만화와 @kr-marketing을 보며 열심히 배우고 있는 레벨이지만 미래는 밝을 것입니다 하하 =]

I recently participated in an art fundraiser for illustrator @zzoya’s Steemit mascot products. The event was organized by sndboxer @soyo - it was a successful event, got a huge support from KR community. See the original post here. Everything was delivered in 3 weeks of span from fundraising to order & transportation. Unbelievable, no?! Kudos to these guys for systemizing an art fundraise on Steemit! The goodies arrived at my parents house in Korea yesterday and my mother sent me theses photos. I am ecstatic to wear the canvas tote bag around the city this spring.
