I think your logic is flawed here.

The point is if the killer App is Tokens! then why invest in something that already has too many tokens.

The answer to the question is: NETWORK EFFECTS.
there is no such thing as too many tokens, just like for a smartphone eco-system there is no such thing as too many apps, since every app makes the eco-system more valuable. -> NETWORK EFFECTS
