We all know that Bitcoin has always been the most used and most popular currency, but will it be like this forever?
Ethereum's Technology is way more advanced than Bitcoin, but also, it is not just a digital currency.
It is a blockchain platform with many new Innovations that Bitcoin does not have.
You can deploy Smart Contracts , it also has its on Virtual Machine/Test-Net where you can test everything without paying a cent.
All Smart Contracts are powered by ether.
You can add many layers on top of the Ethereum Blockchain and make your own Digital Currency!
Ethereum is growing more and more, especially the huge Ethereum Price increase which let many traders and people more into Ethereum.
But Bitcoin will not Die. Bitcoin is too Big to die. And it is the first Digital Currency, that will always be known.
In the World, if you ask someone:
Do you know what Bitcoin is?
Many will say yes.
IF you ask the same question, but about Ethereum, a very small amount of People know. So for now I think Bitcoin will stay KING
Not that many need the Smart Contracts, but Ethereum will most likely pass Bitcoin in a few years.
Right now Ethereum is gaining lots of ground and gaining popularity.

Yes. You could use the official Ethereum Wallet, it is the most secure, but takes a few hours to sync.
I dont recommend Freewallet.org wallets. They were hacked and 10 Million dollars worth of Ethereum was stolen.

My question is what happens to the price of Ethereum as all of the ICOs begin selling off ethers? Won't the price be adversely affected as these companies start converting ethers raised during ICOs to fiats?

Not all the ICOs Are selling off Ether. Check out polybius.io
They are accepting Bitcoin and many other altcoins like Dash, or Monero
