Pet industry continues to grow for decades and it’s completely unsaturated. It means that most of us really do care of our pets. I know some of you who are reading this blog post have pets (e.g., dogs, cats, birds, etc.). Even me of course, I have three fluffy dogs, a Belgian and German Shepherd, and 3 lovebirds. They’re usually my so-called “stress relievers” as I play with them from time to time.
However, there are some issues that we need to address in today’s pet industry. Increased supervision and treatment cost is one common issue that we are experiencing nowadays. As the pet industry continues to emerge, lack of communication was present. Not only that, there are cases that pet information can be verified, which is a concern for most pet owners due that verified and transparent information was lacking.
It’s also essential for us to know what basic needs should we have for our pets. In today’s era, we have no proper guidance on what to feed for our pets. As a result, there will be health complications for our pets because we’re lacking information on proper basic needs. It’s something that we are enduring until now as pet owners, as their health is our prior concern.
With the revolutionized and disruptive blockchain technology, there’s a platform which is the world’s first short video platform for pet-related stuff that would likely solve all of the problems that pet owners and businesses are experiencing until now. Without further ado, I would like to share my review about the Petchains project. You can watch their video presentation below.
First and foremost, what is Petchains all about?
In their website, they’re the first ever pets short video platform using the disruptive blockchain technology. For me, I think it is truly one of a kind that even the pet industry could benefit in our technological era.
Why would I say that in the pet industry, Petchains is a real game-changer?
1 - Unites pet enthusiats in one platform
I believe that in order to connect with other pet enthusiasts around the world, joining a pet-related community is essential. No matter if you’re a pet owner, service provider, institution, volunteer, dealer or so, you can now interact with one another and share ideas and tips (especially the basic needs) of their respective pets. To be honest, I cannot wait when the platform goes live based on their roadmap.
2 - Blockchain + big data combo is the key!
We all know that we’re entering the 4th industrial revolution, which is the blockchain technology itself. In order to keep the accurate data of the pets either at home or in any other shelter, Petchains is using the combination of big data and disruptive blockchain technology to maximize its true potential. The power combination of blockchain and big data is absolutely amazing. It’s a good decision on the part of Petchains by harnessing the modern technology as a key solution to all of the problems we have experienced in the pet industry.
3 - Working product (MVP) is already live
One of the key factors that a crypto-related project was reliable and worth to check on was no other than the working product or the MVP (Minimum Viable Prototype) itself. As I have checked their MVP, it’s for the Chinese Language and can be downloaded on Android and iOs. I am looking forward that their MVP would be available in English and other languages.
4 - High ratings from various ICO rating sites
I usually check ratings from time to time, especially that they are being KYC verified, ratings from notable advisors, reviews or the MVP being available to use. Most of us are choosing projects that are reliable and promising, and Petchains is one of them. With high ratings from third-party sources, I can honestly believe that they are for real and can deliver what the community want once they follow the roadmap.
Explaining the roadmap and token sale
In order for the project to become successful, you need to look at their past and present accomplishments in the roadmap. Not only that, their future plans as well. As what I have seen in their roadmap, one of the things that I am looking forward to is their open beta version that is open to the public after the token sale will end. As well as the Dapp’s improvement, crowdfunding integration, third party controllers, private chains or so, it seems that they’re on the right track.
I see that their roadmap is pretty realistic and they’re sticking to their plans. They’ve achieved very well in their previous plans, and they’re set to accomplish everything in the future.
About their token sale, they have five rounds. As of now, we are now within the 2nd round and it will end on May 25th. The soft cap was set at 5000 ETH and around 89,285 ETH for the hard cap. The total token supply of Petchains is 1.8 billion tokens, and 0.00018 is their nominal price. 60% of that will be sold to the public.
Unfortunately, not all countries can participate in the token sale of Petchains due to their strict regulations on cryptocurrencies. Countries like Ecuador, Cuba, North Korea, Mainland China, Sudan, Iran, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Syria, Crimea and Kyrgyztan are not allowed to participate.
What’s more interesting is that they have a “BuyBack Tokens Program”. In order for their holders and investors to get ensured in redeeming their tokens, 90% of those proceeds will be allocated by Petchains themselves. How cool is that guys? I have never seen this before and it’s absolutely awesome!
How dedicated is their development team?
For me, in order for a crypto project to become successful, you need a team that is dedicated and with a lot of passion in this one. As I browsed in their social media accounts, the team themselves are involved in a lot of activity by spreading awareness on what is going on in the pet industry today, and how Petchains could solve all of the issues that we are experiencing today in the pet industry.
I truly believe that their founder, Mr. Jason Qian, and co-founder, Bob Tsui, are visionaries who are so passionate in making a difference to the pet industry. With their dedicated development team who are doing whatever it takes to make Petchains succeed, I think they’re a force to be reckoned with. Not just that they’re doing it for themselves, but also for the community.
The same thing goes to the advisors. I truly believe that they’re making a good decision to be on board. As advisors, they’re the ones who can help or suggest to make the project expandable and become better than ever. These advisors are not just ordinary ones, but their reputation is also good. I truly believe that with them on board, there is no doubt that Petchains would become one of the most anticipated projects of 2019 in the pet industry.

What can I really say about Petchains?
To be honest with you guys, Petchains is one of those projects that I have never seen before in the cryptoverse. Their project concept is so unique and interesting in my eyes, especially in terms of being the world’s first ever pets short video platform.
