Quiet in the BTC realm. We’ve been hovering above $8000 for a few days, but lots of TA is saying BTC is looking bullish. This beautiful TA by TheTrex shows potential, but says we are limited by the resistance near ATH levels. BTC never fails to surprise though.

Roger Ver on BTC/BCH

Synopsis:
Ver indicated he is “very confident” that Bitcoin Cash will overtake Bitcoin in terms of market cap, price, user adoption, and other metrics multiple times throughout the interview. However, he added that some other cryptocurrency, such as ether, may end up taking the number one spot. Much like Ver now has most of his cryptocurrency wealth in Bitcoin Cash, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong now holds more ether than he does bitcoin, according to Fortune.
“I can’t exactly say how soon it will happen, but I think it’s going to surpass [Bitcoin] here shortly as well,” added Ver.”

BTC/BCH – Difficulty Adjustment (Operation Dragonslayer)
Well nothing happened that the public expected and the difficulty adjustment was last night. Operation Dragonslayer was supposed to be on 11/24 according to the whiteboard showed in the last TL;DR. It seems there was a lot of attention drawn away from BCH with BTD and BTG during this period of possible shifting however.
There have been 2 Antpool BTC blocks since the adjustment. The last 2 blocks were mined by Via and Antpool.
Some people think the shift will come in the next 2 weeks as the difficulty adjustment was -1.28%, so a bit easier. /r/BTC BCH lovers say the lock in for 2016 blocks is the bigger deal -- Same as Nov 10: downward pressure on BTC, hashpower moves to BCH, mempool blows out, downward pressure continues. But now it's 2016 blocks (2+ weeks, more if hashpower moves) until BTC could downshift on difficulty.
Prior to the DA the Bitcoin Diamond snapshot was taken AS WELL AS Bitcoin Gold being released to wallets on all Korean exchanges spaced out by several hours on the 24th. Bitcoin Gold was released on Bithumb hitting an ATH of 1,400,000KRW. It is currently sitting around ~450,000KRW. At that time the difficulty of BTG went to 11,155,638.894 vs the 7 day avg of 4,777,090.249 over 200% increase. Korea always holds the most volume for BCH so shifting their attention with 4x BTG increases and free BTD is a great way to keep people from piling on to BCH.
For now they seem to be in sync with ups and downs.
Ver vs Blockchainers Interview

Ver and Blockchainers recently did a live YouTube interview. It came across as Ver totally enamored with BCH and his attempts to promote it while Blockchainers seemed to be clear BTC supporters and shut him down on every turn. It could be one reason we saw a shift in green BCH volume as this was on Thursday evening.

Synopsis:
The announcement was made by the fund manager Ned Naylor-Leyland in an interview with Bloomberg on November 16. The fund that manages over 220 Million of precious metal equities has started to invest in bitcoin in early April.
“Bitcoin was explicitly designed to be digital gold. So if you’re going to have a small proportion of a fund in bitcoin, it should be in a gold fund, because that’s exactly the point. It’s about bringing the ownership of disciplined money into the modern world. Bitcoin is paving the way for the reintroduction of gold as global money.”

The governor of a South Korean financial regulator has said it has "no plans" to supervise cryptocurrency trading, according to a report.
In remarks made to reporters today, Choe Heung-sik, chief of the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), said that, since his agency does not view cryptocurrencies as "legitimate currency," the FSS does not intend to supervise trading of the digital assets.

Mike Novogratz's prediction of Ethereum hitting "close to $500" before years end. Mike is a Wall Street guy, and one who did quite well there. Because of this, some big money investors really listen when he speaks. When he made this prediction Ethereum was around $380, so many listening thought they still had time to get in, and did.
Ethereum is getting a major upgrade soon the CASPER upgrade hits the Ethereum network. Code was released by Ethereum's developer Vlad Zamfir on Tuesday of this week, and it appears to already have evolved from what Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin presented at Devcon just weeks earlier. CASPER is expected to make drastic changes to the Ethereum network, and will reduce the role of miners drastically - well, eventually, pretty much completely.

Number of Ethereum Devs is Increasing… like the price

Synopsis:
Recently, Truffle, an open-source development environment, testing framework and asset pipeline for Ethereum, surpassed 200,000 downloads from individual developers. In the past three months, Truffle’s user base of developers has grown by 60 percent, which is a rapid rate for a development tool for a particular public blockchain network.
In July, Ivey Business School professor and highly regarded researcher JP Vergne stated in a research paper that the best indicator of a cryptocurrency’s market valuation and price trend is developer activity around its blockchain network.
“We found that the best predictor of a cryptocurrency’s exchange rate is the amount of developer activity around it,” said Vergne.
As long as the active developer activity around the Ethereum blockchain network is sustained in the long-term, the market valuation of Ethereum will likely rise exponentially throughout the upcoming months.

Adding Asia-specific currency pairings is important to Ripple’s plan of introducing its technology to organizations – they intentionally will target more exotic corridors first. The currencies of the pacific rim provide the most dramatic benefits in cost reduction then start to target additional markets.

XRP will provide liquidity for specific currency-pair corridors for banks and organizations. This is the software package that has the highest potential to augment what is already a heightened level of speculation-based demand for XRP.
In a recent post on XRPChat, JoelKatz (avatar name for David Schwartz, Ripple’s Chief Cryptographer) provided the following quotes:
“There are other partners using or testing xRapid. But Cuallix is the only one that we have announced yet”
“I think we’re right at that critical point now where we are starting to pivot some customers to XRP for some corridors. We have enough adoption now and enough value and liquidity in XRP that that’s realistic.”
The XRP Lockup via an escrow crypto-condition will happen by the end of 2017. This means that 55 billion XRP will be taken out of circulation – in a historically precedent-setting way, with billions of dollars of value at stake.
Hyundai HDAC ICO

Synopsis:
Hyundai Pay, the Internet-of-Things (IoT) arm of Hyundai, will be holding a joint ICO with Hdac Technology to issue HDAC tokens. Hdac Technology, a company founded earlier this year by Dae-Sun Chung, the grandson of Hyundai Group founder Ju-Yung Chung, is the creator of the Hdac blockchain, an IoT contract and payment platform.
Hdac is a platform to control IoT devices, process approval between machines, unify IoT data, utilize big data, send mutual confirmation between IoT devices, and to develop a variance-application program based on trust.
Hdac has a new PoW mining algorithm (ePoW) that reduces mining monopolization and 3-minute blocks, amongst other differentiating features. It also introduces the concept of IoT contract, which allows a HDAC token to be repurposed for a specific function. For instance, a HDAC token can be turned to function as the unique key to start a smart car, or a smart home device.
