The reason for that is to bring the Steemit community an interesting new

-3D Printing and Blockchain Unite to Transform Industry and Trading-

"Genesis Of Things" was established and started only a few weeks before the DevCon2 in Shanghai.

"Genesis of Things" is a new "smart manufacturing" project that leverages the intellectual power of members of the Ethereum community, a concept that could be encompassed within Industry 4.0

"Genesis of Things" combines 3D printing, Blockchain and the "Internet of Things" concept into a virtuous futuristic circle that re-imagines manufacturing processes. The company is cautious about the possible implications of using Blockchain on 3D printed objects at this point in development, as well as details about how it works. Soon will be announced their possible uses in the future.

This project has already produced a tangible proof of the concept in the form of a set of titanium cufflinks printed in 3D, engraved with a QR code and with the Ethereum's logo.

It should be repeated that the cufflinks in the photo are a proof of concept; This is not a commercial product, but rather a limited edition to show the potential of technology.

-The entire manufacturing process in a single code-

According to Dr. Carsten Stoecker, who has worked on proof of concept:

"Genesis of Things is a trusted, encrypted and open platform for the entire 3D printing manufacturing chain." In addition, "the terms of intellectual property worldwide remain protected, as each printed product has its own identity, the digital memory of the product and the processes of the manufacturing and supply chain, including the financing and marketing of the product are automated ".

The created object contains a binary serial number that connects this particular article with the manufacturing process, and its specific design into a blockchain. This is achieved by introducing a combination of numbers and letters, and of course having the means to produce it, you can replicate the object an infinite number of times.

Due to the use of Ethereum and the nature of its blockchain, it will be possible to associate smart contracts and price agreements with a 3D printing design, as well as other data related to the process of realization of the object. That means the customer and the seller will know exactly what they are trading when they make a transaction.

To understand the main application, imagine that you can print in 3D a spare part for a machine that you own, knowing with absolute certainty that that part is exactly what you need and with the same specifications as the one you are replacing. Well, even if the machine was owned by another person, just having the corresponding code, you could easily reprint the piece that is needed, since everything is stored in the blockchain.

-¿What will affect us?-

Sounds interesting in theory, but is it realistic? It should not be forgotten that 3D printing is not the only technological revolution in progress. Let's consider blockchain technology. Blockchain is basically a distributed database. Think of a giant, global spreadsheet that runs on millions and millions of computers. Keeps a constantly growing list of data records protected against tampering and revision. Blockchain, for example, can be used by manufacturers to manage their supplier networks, ensuring that all component suppliers have an exact list of required parts in combination with automatically registered entry, exit and delivery programs.

Now take the 3d impression and blockchain them together and you get the ability to distribute all the necessary tasks in the production of an object while still maintaining full control and a record of each part of the process. Of course, this is the world of tomorrow, but probably not a distant future. Blockchain technology is already changing the world of business and finance, accelerating processes that previously required days, to virtually a single mouse click.

We do not know to what extent 3D printing and blockchain will replace traditional manufacturing and trade as we know it today. But we can say that production and trade will never be the same again. And this change has to be recognized and understood by companies and above all must be understood by all the economic and legislative actors involved.

Finally, the issue of data transfer and protection should be addressed. Companies are already working with affiliates, contractors, partners and customers around the world. In order to make this work, data and goods must move and must move faster and more safely. The 3d printing and blockchain reinforce this requirement, including the need to move personal data as it is distributed and used in all parts of the production process. A major problem is the fact that data protection, including restrictions on the movement of personal data, differs from country to country. Therefore, there is a need to begin discussing how differences in regulation between countries are managed and in this case Blockchain is especially useful as it is a way of reducing these differences.

-A radical change-

We must continue to rethink the future of trade negotiations and the changes in the real economy imposed by the additive manufacture and use of Blockchain to ensure that we are negotiating the right terms and that the result supports future trade as a distributed and free trade, Away from that already old trade for and for the elites, dominated by the dinosaurs.

Very valuable information for me!

Thanks @jinsukim

great post

Very cool !!!

Thanks @mammasitta
We're walking big steps inside the future and the next generation 🙂

I am leaving my footsteps and proud of being a part of those big time #gamechanging times Nice to e-meet you

The "e-pleasure" is mine 👍

Wow. Just wow. I felt the need to share this post on my personal LinkedIn profile as well since i've spent the past two years learning everything i can about these technologies. I've succeeded in mastering all except AI and robotics. Hard to find a job in these fields when the jobtitle still hasn't been invented yet. Or you just live in a country which is a few steps behind on these technologies.
