Thanks for sharing this. I read some blogs by a guy in Hong Kong (I think it was Hong Kong) who says one reason why Javascript is good for smart contracts is because it is common enough that finding someone who can be a reasonable witness in court is fairly easy. I don't know about courts but Javascript is very well known and pretty easy to learn.
