Ethereum Mining Issue

Howdy Steemit

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have An XFX RX 470 and was steadily getting 20 m/hash. I left town for the weekend and while out a friend was watching my house, pets and using my computer. He overloaded it and the system restarted. When he relaunched genoli miner, it's only getting 12 m/hash. That was Saturday. I just got home, uninstalled and re-installed the Radeon drivers and started genoli again. Still only getting 12. Any ideas to reclaim that power? I've been reading about AMD hash rates falling, but that's not supposed to happen for a few months, and it will be gradual, not 40% right away.

CHEERS!!

It could be a number of things. The last few DAG updates seem to have effected quite a few people. Are you running windows? If so, did windows do an auto update to the new windows creator? Another thing you could do is completely remove and re-install your miner. I had a problem a few weeks ago. I did a fresh install of Claymore miner 9.5, reset my .bat and everything went back to normal. Good luck!

I will definitely check out the claymore miner eventually. I uninstalled the drivers again and made sure to install the newest from AMD and crossed my fingers..........Great sucess! Back over 20 mhsh.

Thanks for taking the time to help :)

Cool! Glad to hear you're up and running again.

Thanks for the advice! I'm running Windows 10, did the update a week or so ago and it didnt affect mining. I'll give these a try and post an update.

Try switching from Genoli to Claymore miner 9.5 and let me know if that made a difference. P.S. Don't forget to update the .bat file with your wallet! Also, you can duel mine with the Claymore 9.5 :-)
