Yes I am really mad at myself that I havent invested in ETH, I didn't liked the unsafe non-sanboxed nature of it, but I just ignore it for now and invest smaller amounts in it. Just because something is risky that doesnt mean that the investor can't choose his own risk management attitide towards it.
I have missed many profits due to my pre-concieved ideals , I have to be more open minded now, so now I am only going after value, while placing less significance on risk.

You never know what will be in the future, you did it in safe way what is always the best option. Yes, sometimes you have to trust yourself. I have not bought any ETH but I did built mining rig for ETH, if something go wrong with ETH you can always swtich to other currency. :) by the way, you can check my rig progress at my blog.
