Ethereum is going to be the coin to take blockchain technology to the next level and I want to have as much of it as possible

I joined the crypto world recently after having traded stocks for the past year or so and the potential here as we all know is limitless. Ethereum has outperformed the S&P 500 by multiple orders of magnitude

Ethereum has the potential to upset Bitcoin in a big way and the main reason for this is because of the bitcoin scalability issue. Bitcoin blockchain can not pass the turing test and transactions are taking an ungodly amount of time. Ethereum has the ability to unleash "unlimited" computing power through the application of the blockchain, which can be quite a benefit to science. Bitcoin is going to test all time highs again soon, but after waiting for a bitcoin transaction for over 2 hours yesterday, I sold it for litecoin and used that to begin my cloud mining at Genesis mining.

You may be wondering why I am going to be paying someone to lease mining equipment. Well, the answer is easy, Electricity is crazy expensive in california with tier 1 costing .08291 per kWh and tier 2 at .16838 per kWh, and the price of GPU's that are used for mining has skyrocketed with RX580 at $849, RX 480 at $550, and GTX 1070 at $376, I think a good entry level option is cloud mining such as Genesis or Hashing24.

When considering a cloud mining option, one has to be hyper aware of scams, and the company you purchase a contract from should be willing to show you their hardware. Often these are ponzi schemes, and after some research I have settled on Genesis. I purchased a 15 Mh/s 2 year contract for around $400. I will eventually purchase a real ethereum mining rig, but this is a good option for me to begin my foray into the mining world.
