Glad Istanbul is finally done. Is it still intended to do smaller, more frequent hard forks going forward? I know that had been talked about a while back.

yes. the idea is "train station," with forks happening every 6 months no matter what EIPs are ready

Awesome, I'm happy to hear that. Only getting monolithic forks every 12-18 months feels like it breeds stagnation in the interim.
