Thy Ship Hath Sailed

Remember Uber vs Taxis? I've identified some business models that will be obsolete in the near future and am distancing myself from them so I don't lose money and time. Most of this disruption is due to decentralization and new technologies that have enabled it(e.g. Ethereum). I'll just run through them real quick and give the upcoming replacements.
1. Banking: Replaced by Bitcoin circa 2017.
2. Stock Brokers/Stock Markets: Replaced by aragon.one circa 2018
3. Governments: Replaced by Bitnation circa 2018
4. Internet Hosting Services: Replaced by Zeronet circa 2017
5. Social Media Companies: Replaced by ZeroMe circa 2017
6. Internet Service Providers: Replaced by Open Libernet circa 2018?
7. Search Engines: Replaced by Kaffiene, a zeronet search engine better than google, circa 2017.
8. Oil and Gas: Replaced by cheap solar and wind, cheap graphene batteries, and electric cars that charge in 10min and go 300 miles circa 2017.
9. Trucking: Replaced by autonomous vehicles circa 2017.
10. Anything Automated: Anything that can be automated will be. Legal jobs, driving, delivery, sorting, etc.

If you're looking for more information on what to do about it, have a look at my other article on How to Survive a Decade of Unemployment and follow me for future articles. I'm planning to write another article to help people transition to the new jobs and businesses of the new economy.

I like how you've compiled a list of probable optimization in various occupations. I had to write a paper on whether degree seekers will be affected by automation. I have a feeling a couple of those jobs will be replaced as well or at least undergo downsize (i.e. oxford 2013 report).

I think it's important to look toward the future and educate people so they can avoid sinking ships. Autonomous car engineers have a much better job outlook than diesel mechanics or truck drivers.

Awesome post!
