I have noticed that my heart gets energy from the less expected situations, places and moments.
It is really unbelievable how little things can break your mood and take away the stress, worries and whatever botters you...and it changes the rest of your day just like that...(at a fingers snap)
After a very frustrating moment at the immigration department surrounded by people from Sudan, South Korea, India, China and perhaps even Syrians...all of us with VERY DIFFERENT stories, backgrounds, and reasons for moving to Ethiopia...all gathered and "lined up" on a crooked way and a messy yard without really understanding what was going on...they scream, yell at you, speak in amaharic, little english...we couldn't make it: "we need ANOTHER stamp!".
Do this, do that, they charge you different because you are a Farenji (white man), I know I know...they do exactly the same in Mexico with the Gringos...hate that...so much!....
"Ok, let's take a "taxi" (minibus) back to the Clinic!"
And then...like MAGIC...3 naked kids wearing nothing but rubber boots, green, pink and black...they are running all over on the stagnant water...the contrasts of the city...the reflected buildings...they are jumping, laughing, splashing, even simulating to swim...they are really enjoying THE MOMENT...SO DO I!
Thank you Kids...without knowing it...YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!
