Enjoying My Roots - Need Book Recomendations Too

in ethnic •  8 years ago

I recently had asked my dad to do a DNA test. He had never known what his roots were because his mother never told him who his father was. It was great to finally know what my ethnicity is.

Turns out I am so many varied cultures combined. It really causes me to appreciate cultures everywhere so much more.
Including both my parents' roots, these are countries or ethnic groups that I have in me.
We actually can trace some of the DNA specifically to areas, which is awesome.

Ireland, France, Yakut, Iceland, England, Germany, Mongolia, Sardinia, Italy, Balkans, Morocco, Latvia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ashkenazi Jewish (Palestine/Israel), Iran, Caucasus, Algeria, The Netherlands, Bija Punjab India, United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Wales, Scotland, East Turkestan, Switzerland, Yemen, Japan, Korea, Syria, Malta, Greece, Iberian Peninsula, Jordan, Portugal, Russia, Qatar, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Austria, China, Finland, Dushanbe Tajikistan, Egypt, and Sudan.

Does anyone have book recommendations for some of the cultures that I am? I have been reading some historical fiction and even history books about many of these places.

Here's a picture of me.
