I started off using ethos. It was great and super easy to configure, not to mention super stable! But using windows 10 and claymores miner allowed me to make tweaks such as overclocking and undervolting the GPUs to get the best possible performance (an increase of 5-6mh/s per GPU). Something ethos really couldn't offer.

I see, so if we're mining with, let's say, 30 GPUs, we should use Windows with claymore miner? What GPUs are you running? Would you care to explain a bit more about your "farm" ?
Thank you kindly for the input though!

I am running sapphire nitro rx 480s. All depending on what type of performance you are wanting. I can def say that ETHOS is way more stable than windows and experiences far less problems. But with my limited knowledge of linux I was able to get in and overclock and undervolt within the config files on ETH OS but was not able to mod my GPU bios's to increase hashrates to the degree I wanted to. Maybe there is a way to do with with linux but like I said my limited knowledge, I made the move to windows 10 and never will look back. But if I was to not mod the GPU bios and just use as stock hashrates I would pick ETHOS for sure!
I prefer to use claymores miner on windows 10. But not everyone will agree with me. My reason behind it I stated above. What kind of GPUs are you planning to use?

Thanks for sharing your experience with us @cryptochron! We are expecting to start mining with one rx 580 (should arrive soon) at the start and maybe more if the stock's arrive and if we have the money for it :p I'll probably test claymore and nicehash right at the start since it's the cheapest way to start mining!
We'll test everything OC and bios mod and then report our experiences back to you guy's! And soon we will have some help from a friend who is an expert with Linux so we will proper review ethos and if I get some good results I'll tell you everything the expert did so you can test for yourself :) keep posted on the blog and we'll post everything very soon! If you could share it so other interested people know we would be so thankful :D
